What’s different about a commercial inspection vs a residential one?
Commercial inspections are distinctly different from residential ones. They involve a broader scope of work and typically require more manpower, so it’s important that the inspection company have multiple inspectors available to accommodate this need.
Additionally, these inspections often need to take place in alignment with the availability of current business tenants; thus, requiring greater scheduling flexibility.
A great example of this is the medical office. Clearly an inspection cannot take place while patients are being seen by the medical staff.
What’s different about the content of a commercial inspection?
Unique aspects of commercial inspections may include:
- multiple heating systems—often found on the roof
- warehouse space
- industrial-grade exterior materials.
- Driveways, sidewalks & parking areas
- More sophisticated electrical system
